Agriculture In Hebei
Hebei is a province of China steeped in traditional methods and this extends to agriculture. With half of the area being mountainous and rocky, traditional methods of agriculture cannot produce enough to sustain the growing population. Though Hebei is the major grain and cotton farming region of China, methods of production are antiquated. The Chinese Government has targeted Hebei as a province that needs to be modernized and agriculture is a thrust area. To this effect the government has adopted a proactive stance in modernization of agricultural methods and is open to international technologies being applied in this key area.
Gate to China’s Hebei Province International Educational Exchange Association, one of the 5 Hebei Province 2015 High Technology and intelligence Recruitment Centre chosen by the Government, serves as a gateway for this program of the Chinese Government. The Hebei government welcomes overseas scientists, researchers, industries and individuals to visit, give lectures, conduct training sessions and hold field demonstrations and initiate plans whose implementation would lead to a quantum leap in production in an environmentally sustainable way.
Experts specializing in any areas of agriculture are more than welcome to send us proposals of how they can contribute and we will ensure fair returns to them for their efforts. We are open and flexible to arrangements. Experts may prefer to simply give lectures and field demonstrations, conduct seminars or go all the way to transferring their knowledge to local farmers and help train as well as hand hold them in areas such as cultivating and taking care of land, bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides, crop rotation for higher yields, using farm equipments and so on.
